    Floatovoltaics, or floating solar arrays, address a global need to produce clean energy in efficient ways that also save common greenfield land. Floating solar arrays can be deployed as an alternative to land-based solar farms in areas where land is in short supply or in dry places where it can be installed at man-made reservoirs to help mitigate evaporation.
